Window Server 2008 Supports symlinks, so if Valve does not provide a working
solution until then and you happen to be willing to spare some money and
upgrade that would be a built it and supported solution inside Windows :).

but honestly I doubt that making GSP life easier is something that is

First off sorry about my previous response, it was written
quickly and reading it back it does sound very negative which
was not my real intention.
What I wanted to get across is what you already admitted; that
there is no way to link files on windows so given this, linking
really isn't a workabl
This solution is perfectly workable and seems to be much better than
the one you currently use, otherwise that would be me asking Valve to
fix something not working on my servers :)
I thought that you are interested in solution for your particular
problem, not in demanding Valve to fix something o
