Before anyone asks, yes - I have read the files, but I would like some help.
I have downloaded the latest version of HLGuard and would like to know if
there is anyone out there kind enough to email me (off list if need be) with
a few ideas of what settings would be best in the config to actually
With Valve's changes to how/where one can exec files, it's very hard to
catch someone. HLGuard is now working to block protected cvars and
to block/fool cheats from working correctly.
For more help, I'd really suggest IRC...we have a reasonable number of
people around to help/talk about hlg
I see this a lot in tfc. The server or client seems to think the player
model is above or below its actual position so you see people running around
in the air, or in the floor. You cant actually shoot them tho (the models
that is). If you move your crosshairs over the model it wont give you any

It's a bug in the map. If you jump up onto the second crate by the CT
spawn (You can knife jump from the other crate, or get boosted) then get
a second person up there, you can boost someone through
I have seen this too. sometime's people are running around half way in
the ground, other times they are up in the air running around. Just the
other day this was happening and I saw my buddy doing it (got a screen
shot), then he went over and sprayed the wall, but the spray was where
is would

It's possible that they are otherwise occupied--providing for their
families, for instance. Do you want your money back? :) Be patient and
try again later

It's a bug in the map.
You're thinking of the skywalker exploit in de_dust. That's a
different matter.

Yep - that's it - skywalker - the players that were doing this mentioned
that name. So, what's the story behind this skywalker thing? Is there
something that can be done to prevent it?

I was joking Eric - I guess so much sarcasm floats around these days it's
hard to distinguish it sometimes (shortly after posting the initial email
someone gave me a brief idea of what I need to do - typical!)

Got 2 (10+1 one reserved spot) servers that are doing it. Used to have
4 but took down 2 to put up an AA server.

That's what I assumed he was talking about. Sounded more like it than
the People appearing at random heights bug, which happens on all maps,
at any location, and not just at the CT spawn area
I run a 16 player pub server. The last 2 updates have caused problems.

Yep -
Would this be considered a bannable use exploit? Like the nail grenades to
the ceiling in TFC. Or, does it kinda happen accidentally?

Hi, I am admin of many public and cw servers and some of them have
stable HLTV. I tried to setup HLTV delay higher (60s) then default 30s, but
TV seems laggy and it was whorst then delay 30s, with 120s delay it
was really bad. Have anyone same problem? Thanks! ;]

See my description.. this is definitely not something that happens
accidentally. It needs 2 people to be able to do it. You can do it on
I think they seemed to be actitvating the exploit themselves. Once one
person had done it the other CT's were gagging to know how they could do it
too. As Mogely suggested I have been slapping, banning and kicking the
offenders, but it would be nice to see a way to stop this from actually
It's a random thing. You shoot where you know the model really is, not
where you see it. It's not something the other person is even aware of,
his view shows him where he should be. And just as quickly as they
appear at the wrong elevation, they can pop back down or up at any time.

I would say repeated skywalking is defintely bannable.
It's exploiting a bug in the map to give you an unfair advantage. Just like
popping thru the ceiling on assault or oilrig.
The random up/down models is a glitch, but you can't do it on purpose (that
I know of). And often, you may see the
