etc. are client-side.

Its possible, look at neo-tf for TFC. Course the players would have to
dl the models for the weapon, and perhaps the sprites and explosions,
but it isnt impossible with some dll jiggery pokery

long output of several libs being looked for at /lib, which does not exist
on a FreeBSD system, since they are located at /compat/linux/lib

This was a default installation (remember, FreeBSD 5.0-current) and I did
not customize anything.
Basic steps:
Install from 5.0-DP2 CD (including linux compat)
cvsup to current (sources and ports of course)
make world
make (install) kernel
