Meh. If somehting so stupid is going to happen, all I would request is
a notification before hand. There are a handful of this list who I
consider to be sources of accurate information, and those people I
would remain in contact with no matter what happens. Other than that
I'm done with the topic.

It is most likely that the maps are edited with ripent, or some
similar program that lets you change entities without having to
recompile the .bsp.
That, or there could be some kind of server side plugin which lets you do that.

Hey I'm running the BAW clan dod server and I've seen these maps working on
other dod servers but they don't run properly on mine. The maps are
origonally hldm maps and have multiple spawn points like the_yard or

What would be the purpose of this list at that point? It sounds to me

I agree that the usefulness of this list varies wildly from post to

As for the list, I'm not sure that will work as you expect. Creating a
GSP only list assumes, but not limited to the following:

Please run a 'sysctl kern.msgbuf_clear 1' before so I dont get all the

What about technical consultants who generate about 40% of their

The laxidasical manner in which many people operate will never change.
Moreover, it's not unlikely that many of the stupid questions come
from GSP employee's too.

I agree, if people would moderate the posts and ban problem people who
post useless and often rude stuff, this would solve 80% of the problems.

Personally I think there's the odd side issue that creeps in, I've helped a

people from some gsps that in reality they don't really want to help others

But it also "doesn't" happen to some apparently (not sure about windows
though), so would be useful to try and at least isolate if there's any
difference why some get the issue and others don't. I.e could just be the

Simple answer, get registered then ;)
There are plenty of other communities that only allow registered companies,
I don't see it as any form of discrimination myself ;)

The idea seems so perfect that we're willing to provide the bandwidth for
