[hlds_linux] Weird STV crash on windows servers

2009-05-02 Thread atomy
hey, our windows servers keep crashing with STV enabled (tv_enable 1) after changing map. The crash location seems to be within tier0.dll as MSVC says when debugging mdmps. Often I got crashes near string functions like strcmp and while calling CBasePlayer::GetNetworkIDString(), all that stuff se

The thing about bball is that matches take only about 20 minutes. If a player joins and plays a full round, the server gets hardly any points rewarded. On the other hand, it happens quite often that players want to try out the game mode (recommended by friends) but simply do not like it. They stay

His server was delisted by the new automated server score system, though. I doubt Valve takes much of their precious time to go and manually delist servers, unless for some reason they get a lot of complaints. AnAkIn . wrote: > There are still many servers using fake clients. Strange your serve

There are still many servers using fake clients. Strange your server was delisted and not those. 2009/5/2 Ronny Schedel > You need alot of connecting/disconnecting players to get a bad rank. Even > if > the map runs only for 15 minutes, it should not matter. > > > - Original Message - >

We have nothing special on that server accept that map. The servers are all 3 very populair and nearly always full. I see no reason why this should be blacklisted. Good ping, no weird custom plugins, one map only (advertised in the name), and they choose themselves to join that map. No one is b

You need alot of connecting/disconnecting players to get a bad rank. Even if the map runs only for 15 minutes, it should not matter. - Original Message - From: "Brainstorm" To: "'Half-Life dedicated Linux server mailing list'" Sent: Saturday, May 02, 2009 9:29 PM Subject: [hlds_linux

I have received the same e-mail as well. They helped me out as well. Same story for me, the problem that caused the IP to be delisted was a bball2 server as well. In general, players tend to play for 15-45 minutes. Matches simply do not last longer than that. Also, another server which was receivin

I assume its ctf_bball or ctf_pro_bball which is a map where you have to rocket jump on top of a hoop to capture the intel. On Sat, May 02, 2009 at 08:50:43PM +0200, Ronny Schedel wrote: > Could you please explain what bball2 is? Is it a MOD for TF2? Does > blacklisting affects all games now not
