Some people (ie: me) find it fun to find this information out themselves
instead of being lazy and looking it up on TF2Wiki. =P

The crafting is entirely client <-> steam, there's no way to stop it
that i know of, but you can certainly see when it happens and take
action. Make a script that times how long someone is in the spawnroom.
Have it also hook the player crafted item event. If they craft multiple
items and are in
AFK/other timewasters can be a big problem on high-volume
high-popularity servers. My local heros @3FL always have queues of 5-6
people at any given time during peak periods trying to join particular
servers.

Try deleting "scripts/items/items_game.ctx"
Then you should get this message on server: No scripts/items/items_game file
found. May be unable to create items.
Not sure if this will have any effect on the clients, but you can try and
see.

I have a hard time imagining how crafting can have such a big impact on
gameplay.
It's not like it takes long. H
We already do this, but this takes too long.

Hi,
I dont know of a convar to stop crafting but you could probably write a
script which kicks all players who stand in the spawn room for more than
1-2 minutes. I'm assuming that they are crafting in the spawn room as
doing it anywhere else would just get them killed.

Hi,
we have alot of players standing around and crafting on a full server. This
is huge impact for the game play if the half team is afk. Is there some way
to prevent the crafting server side? I have checked the cvarlist without
success.

From what I remember the canal maps should be loaded from the half-life
2 game cache. I suggest contacting someone on the Synergy development
team, see http://synergymod.net/Team for more information.

I have downloaded synergy linux server from hlds.
Started the server from the first map.
The server crashed twice after canals3
Then I noticed that hlds didnt download the third map of
canals, it doesnt exist in the maps folder. I think that is
the reason why the server crashed.
Please fix it.
