There seems to be a new exploit around to crash any TF2 server.
If a 'civilian' player gets killed with a katana it will crash the server.
Tested it on my own TF2 (build 4489, latest) server and was able to
reproduce it every time.
Haven't tested it without sourcemod but im fairly certain its an
Hello,
So, the last day and a half I've noticed choking / spiking on the
servers I operate... I've spent the entire day with my ISP on the matter
checking for packet loss / cpu spiking anything that would cause such
instability, with no prevail.
The last time I witnessed this behavior I
First off, that's not a DoS. I updated my Civilian Class Fixer plugin for
SourceMod to prevent a method of becoming civilian related to touching med
cabinets while taunting to change to non-usable items. If you use SM, you
can get the plugin here:
bl4nk, your plugin isn't compiling on AlliedModders for download- could you

Hey,
New error occured after the latest updates. Clients trying to connect
get this: Server uses different class tables
The server has been updated to the last version. I tried adding
-verify_all, it didn't help. Deleted steam.inf, installrecord.blob -
nothing.
I forgot to update which compiler the thread is using (haven't updated the

Let's be clear here. Do you mean a player that is actually the civilian
class or just a player that is in the reference pose because it has no

Not exactly reference pose, but they walk around with no weapons in their
hands. It's basically what the civilian class was when it was available in
the game via the join_class command. It seems to be the popular thing to
call it these days.

I guess most classes do use the reference pose. Whichever class I initially
tested the plugin with didn't use the reference pose afaik.
