Hi Andreas,
Thanks for sending this out.
The chunk of data that's breaking your parser will be going away soon.
Definitely by the end of the month if not sooner.
The JSON response is valid if you want to use that instead/in the meantime.

Andre,
We have a mailing list specifically for Tripwire Interactive games server
administration. If you send an e-mail over there, a TWI employee (or
another server admin) may have the answer you are looking for. The mailing

I have not checked lately but in the past it worked like this:
Right after server reboot, no stats. If campaign ended and you connected
back, stats appeared.
OR
Stats appear at random and do not appear at all.

Yes I did.
Since then I setup the server, cfg with a group I setup. The stats show up
but now no players come on.

I think he means the banner motd stats that appear first when the
campaign starts after people join to a server. It sometimes shows rank 0
and no score rather than displaying the score and rank itself.

Some reports that VPK's have cut client load times in half or more on TF2 beta.
No data currently on server improvements.

Okay I figured it would be as much.
Are there any general statistics on the performance increase of using a vpk
over loose files on server and client? I understand this will vary per
system and setup but I'm trying to get a grasp on if I have content that
changes frequently, is it worth the hassle
If you are willing to modify gameinfo.txt (and be aware that it could get
stomped on each update) you can very easily control the search paths.
For example, you could run each instance out of a different directory, using a
different gameinfo.txt for each instance. In such a setup, it would prob
Thanks, my question was can I have it opt not to mount certain directories
within the custom subfolder.
I want certain vpks to be mounted and others not. For example, if I run
multiple srcds instances out of the same directory (boo) can I tell it to
not mount the vpks for the other srcds instances
No, the VPK tool only knows how to add files to a VPK (or rebuild it from
scratch). It does not support any incremental file operations.
Take a look at gameinfo.txt to get more info about which VPKs are mounted.
Please note that the Source engine games do NOT work exactly like L4D or CS:GO.
here are some updated gamedata files that helps get the server up and
running with most of the plugins.

SourceMod needs a gamedata update to work with the beta servers, but
updating the gamedata for the betas will break SourceMod for the current
non-beta version of the game as SourceMod can't tell the difference
between the games.

Hi
I managed to get our dods-beta server to make the clients to download
all maps and extra stuff from our existing url-server with all setup as

To get the server to run with sourcemod and to be able to join I found

I have noticed one thing, on the MOTD the server shows no rank or players
served on it. Could this be why?
