There are a lot PRIVATE networks that are using assigned IPv4 (like 40% of
the total IPv4 addresses and they had more than that) addresses and they
don't announce anything, they have like lots of /8's.
So, if we would take like 90% of the /8's assigned to networks when there

me, do you have glibc compiled with multilib USE-flag?
emerge glibc -vp
see if there is (multilib) or (-multilib). Minus sign doesn't have to be
there (if it is, it's mean that you have no multilib support - so no
32bit support).

tell you exactly what you need on Gentoo, but that sounds like your problem
to me.

Nothing runs? I know you need a library (sorry, no idea which) to
decompress the archive.

how to or what is needed to run hlds normally, not in a 32bit chroot

Hey,
I was wondering if ACPI is really slowing down your system performance,
I'm currently running FreeBSD 7.1, and I had only once a few problems with
huge spikes, but also I never tried to assign the servers to a specific
CPU core.
PS: Using Q6600.

Hello,
I'm actually using CS 1.6 server not source, and they are not set anymore,
and the client is not only me. I removed the rate settings from the config
file because I also found out what choke is about, but seems that this is
not fixing anything.

Hello,
I'm firewalling it using IPFW under FreeBSD, this problem is not about the
CPU (which is used about 0.01 and MEM 64/2048), I have alot of rules and I
cannot disable the firewall right now...

Herk.

Hello,
I was wondering if the firewall rules could somehow interfeer in this
choke problem...

Herk.

Hello,
The big thing was the linux kernel build, the 7-1-PRERELEASE fixes some
networking bugs which can be also patched in earliers version by using
some..patches (doh).

PS: I dont know what to say about the FreeBSD 7.1-PRERELEASE update
(actually I did it after installing my server because there is a bug at
re0 network cards and in 7.0 the patch is not applied, 7.1 has the patch
for this bug).
Thanks,
Herk.

Hello,
After this recent update I start the server and after some time I get the

Maybe it will be fixed faster than 1month (up-to 1year), btw CPU_MHZ
doesn't helps me at all, still crashing like hell.

Well I'll test it and see what is going on.

I see the same errors with FreeBSD 7.1-PRERELEASE and FreeBSD 7.0 ...I'll
hope that they will fix this soon.
