My reading of that strace is that there is a problem with running the script, it seems to be crashing while trying to spawn /bin/sh (which is real bad, this is a bad system building block). See this line: read(255, #!/bin/sh\n#\n# Copyright (c..., 2282) = 2282 for the start of the crash.
