They've supported it for what 6-7 years now? Can you name any other
game that has had support or even updates for that length of time?
There are a tonne of old games still being sold at your local PC shop
that have developers that have since closed down, been accuired or
moved in other directions.

His point was there are no bots in 1.6 to be leaking anything let alone
memory.
He said several things.
1. He asked about the bots.
2. He pointed out that this problem has been happening for a long time.
3. He suggested that Valve would not be fixing the problem.
I was addressing #3.

works at Valve is more familiar with the code that does or does not
exist than you or I. If they say the leak is there and is in the bot
code, don't you kind of think they know what they're talking about?
