qstat and xqf can do the same as your steam client, IIRC. I also have
some shell tools that I wrote that you can use to do the same thing:

I don't know about a cs client with the same capabilities of a windows
steam client. But I have a thing for monitoring...
Some time ago i found something (created in C by someone else) to do rcon
commands from the linux prompt. I hooked it up with MRTG so i could graph
it out. Done so for FPS and
CS1.6 can be played with Wine, but it is pretty crappy
framerate in comparison; it does work though ;) And
as a word from experience, using OSS instead of alsa
in winecfg makes it run.

patch on hlsw. so i did some testing with wine 0.9.13 and hlsw 1.0.0.49 and
it works like a charm. I have to thank the wine support team for some help
they gave me. It works so well in fact that i submitted a working app

There's also kkrcon. Not sure if it runs on scrds, but it works great on
hlds.
