I know that the type of sound M. Thevet produces is

A Czech Woodwind Quintet was touring the US in about 1968 when I was in

A friend, who is not a member of these lists, has asked me to post this notice
of a stolen horn:
The horn was stolen from a car in Arlington (TX) a few days ago. It's a Paxman

Though I think something might have been missing from Lawrences' or Hans'
post, seeing Devemy drawn into the discussion reminded me of his recording
of the Brahms Trio. I will attempt to make a fair-use sized clip available

Thanks.

Anyone familiar w/ David Uber's Suite for Three Horns? A charming little
piece, calls for vibrato in the third movement. I play w/ a horn trio. I've
never really worked at vibrato so I can't do it very well, but one of our trio
members is also a flautist. Let me tell you, she can do the
Hi
A wind quintet that I play with has been working on one of three quintets by

not got very far.
According to information gleaned by our clarinettist he was born in Hanau (near

The Uber Suite is a charming piece: my 8th grade trios, which also include a
couple of 7th graders, each played 2 movements for Solo and Ensemble a

Czech and Russian vibrato styles sound completely different to me.
If you want to hear a great example of Czech Horn playing with vibrato, see if
you can find the old recording by Zdenek and Bedrich Tylsar of the Haydn,
Vivaldi, and Telemann duo Concertos with the Prague Chamber
