Does anyone happen to have easy access to the part as a pdf file? I’d

Hi All,
I don't have quick access to the score and I was wondering if anyone knows
whether the Ab horn (IV part) in the "Cavatina Leonora" from "Il Trovatore" is
Ab (LA b) alto or basso. I would normally read it as an alto transposition but
that puts the 4th horn up to high B-flats and never b
Dear Colleagues,
My wind quintet Eastern Winds has worked up a completely new program since our
Carnegie Hall debut last October and we look forward to presenting it for the

I hope some of you can make the concert.

Hello Fellow Hornists,
For those interested, I've added two new horn works to my catalog. Both are
classical period wind quartets for the rather unusual pairing of 2 flutes and 2
horns one by J.G. Abeltshauser (fl. 1810s) the other by W.A. Lütgen (fl.
1840s). The horn parts are in D but not
Thanks everyone for your input. So far the two best responses have been either
an abbreviation for "Forzando" or a French term "Franchement" which means
"frankly" or "straight out".

Dear list,
I'm currently editing a set of 3 trios for clarinet, horn & bassoon (Op. 1) by
the French horn player Frédéric Duvernoy (1765-1838). I have come across the
unusual expression marking Fr. It happens not only once but a few times
throughout all the parts and is not confused with r

Does anyone know were I can get a hold of a few of them to
