Too bad, the color scheme is simply not readable to my eyes. I'd read it
otherwise.

Personally, I'd love to be a part of this discussion but it could go
very far astray. I'd be happy to create a special list if everyone would
like so that we could have the discussion off this list. Say the word
and I'll set it up.

Decidedly not horn related, but I have come into the possession of a
Hammond M3 Organ that I'd like to see go to someone who can use it.
Please spread the word. Contact me off-list if interested.
For the record, I live in Sonoma, CA, 45 minutes north of San Francisco.

Has anyone heard (or played) Salonen's Concert Etude? I just learned of
it and am interested in hearing about it. I had no idea that he was, in
another life, a student of the Horn.

March. The piece is by Erik Ewazen, Symphony in Brass. 3rd movement, I
think. It's on one of the Summit Brass recordings.

You should check out the Kanstul Copper-belled flugel if you want a
"Horn-like" sound. A buddy in my quintet has one and it's too Horn-like
to play along with the other guy when they need to double. OTOH, it's a
*great* instrument when the line should be a pair of Horns - hard to do
that in a
Can anyone identify the pieces for Soprano and Horn and the string
quartet + 2 horns that were used in Leonard Brown's video?

Is this a PHC mouthpiece? If so, they make an Acetal rim -

Does anyone have any ideas about building endurance and keeping the lips from

areas. Colder weather seems to increase the stiffness problem.

I've been playing on a 25 cup and a W rim, my son on a 23/W. The cup is
