Both the Balu and the Kowalchuk mutes are excellent mutes. Since you already have one that 'sizzles,' I would point you more towards the Kowalchuk Canadian Maple eh. I own both brands and find the Balu has more of that sizzle you are talking about no doubt due to its fiberglass body. The Kowalchu
