Actaully, my mother played both horn and trombone. She said it really helped her develope great sound on both. The trombone taught her how to control her embouchure and the horn taught her sound and musicality. She played bone in the marching band and jazz band while playing horn in the orches

I used to play jazz bass trombone semi-frequently, and it actually seemed to help my embochure. I also took up jazz tenor and bari somewhat more seriously two years ago and haven't had any sort of major problems. The only thing I've heard about doubling horn and a woodwind instrument is the

My son plays both the trumpet and the french horn. So far, the double is working out very nicely for him. He's 12 years old, has been playing jazz trumpet for four years and classical horn for two. The jazz/classical distinction works well, in my opinion, as he's not trying to do musically simil
