The accident was not DB fault. It was a technical fault. The
hardy disc in the transmission between engine wheels broke
the lose part smashed through the bottom killed DB that
morning. But he ´felt something the night before the concert
in Edinbourgh as he refused giving a ride to anybody - a
WABotte: Have fun, drive fast and take chances.
I believe this would account, sadly, for why those of us around my age and
younger have only heard Denis Brain's playing on scratchy old recordings.
