Hi Jorieke, we're slowly starting work on updating the HDM. First part of
that is the data model in the new Export tool. Please hop over to the
#export-tool slack channel for input on that.
Greetings from the mapathon at the MSF compound in Yumbe!

Just spotted this one, it's a very nice read if you have some time to

Hi all,
I'd like to let you know about a new project HOT has started work on,

Hi Calist,
I'm afraid this might be yet another instance of the issue in
https://github.com/hotosm/osm-export-tool2/issues/129 manifesting
itself. Work will be done soon to improve the export tool, but I don't
know the exact timeline on this. Cristiano or Mhairi do perhaps?

Thanks for the heads up Heather! Jorieke has already gotten me in touch
with some people from our community in Senegal. I'll hopefully be seeing
some of them next week, and will definitely bring this opportunity to their
attention!

Don't think a link to this article has been posted yet -

Hi,
Could you please clarify - have the underlying tags and values themselves
changed, or just their descriptions/UI? It sounds like the latter to me
from your response. The former would be bad, the latter is something we
could/should adapt to.
And yes, "unclassified" does confuse people, but
Hi Gertrude,
OSMTracker uses GPS - the buttons are normally disabled until you have a
lock. After that, it will give you an estimation of the accuracy of your
location, for example: "Accuracy: 5m". I think they'll probably use the GPS
receiver's hdop (horizontal dilution of precision) figure for

Hi Mike,
The informal settlements around Dar extend quite far - so we can

One more confirmation. Occurred on a number of our student's computers

Simply removing the 's' from the url did the trick for us.
Hi,
Let me see if I can find a couple of good examples (combination of

Hi Augustin,
The export tool does not possess exhaustive query logic; since data
filtering is based on JOSM preset files, and that's not what these where
invented to do. The way to go here would indeed be to do the filtering
of the resulting dataset through a desktop GIS app, like QGIS.
