I use Hugin 2009.4.0 on a Win 2000 machine and couldn't make enblend/ enfuse work. I found enblend_nosse/enfuse_nosse on Source Forge and downloaded it. Pointed to enblend_nosse/enfuse_nosse in Hugin and have had no problem since. Don't know if the nosse version is anything different but you can't
