I was searching my computer for a program and happened upon the ideathat
hugin 64 bit might be the problem so I tried to install the 32 bit version.
It wouldn't install as shown below and was wondering what you thought I
could do.
$ sudo apt-get install hugin:i386
Reading package lists...
I got smart and started it from the command line: Which gave an error
report (below) and spat some thing else out as well. I'm going to try not
to clutter the list any. If you are interested:

Okay... I decided to try to compile it and am running into the same problem:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:hugin/hugin-builds
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:hugin/nightly
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install hugin enblend panini
it will not find panini.

This is not to compile, what you did was a binary installation.
I guess another friend here already answered about panini. It is not
anymore in any actual repository. You would have to really compile it. Here
is an old reference I've wrote about it:

apt-get told me hugin was already up to date. A moment later I went into
the repository and removed hugin* repositories, update the list and then
installed hugin again and apt responded by saying some packages had not
been fully removed or installed and then it asked if it should. (a) I said
to do
Hi Michael,
did you try a
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
from the terminal?

Because we currently have 891 downloads for hugin
2015.0.0+dfsg-0ubuntu2~trusty for amd64 since we published it and if
there was an obvious problem like the one you reported, we would
my system isn't ubuntu... in reality it is Mint 17.3 (if that matters).

Who or what tells you that? And what did you do to provoke this
information?
Please understand that we can not read minds. Unless you tell us what
you did and what happened
