Hello all, I'm trying to compose/overlay multiple photos taken with a compact camera into one single output image. Source images are very similar, taken with a handheld pocket camera and consequently slightly misaligned. My goal is to transform them so they all 'match' and blend/average them

Ok, perfect! But just to mention: I tried without it before and with it I achieved a better result. :) The relevant aspect for doing this, IMHO, is that he shot handheld and it caused differences between images that can be better solved with different lens distortions for each image. I use to do
