You could also check out pagecenter from LRS. Don't know about batch
searching but it definitely has search capability. Works with AFP as
well if you need that.

I'm surprised that smf14 doesn't have the alias name, so other than doing
a scan of libraries, you may get by with a saf audit for the alias name.
