edit macro that won't

Hi Folks, I had a guy ask me for a way convert a flat file from mixed to uppercase only, in place, in batch. I’m probably overthinking this request but I came up with a batch job that calls an edit macro. And although the macro works in ISPF EDIT just fine, it doesn’t work in batch. Any ideas
