Hi Joel,
We do NOT have any PAV's. We are a pretty small shop. One production LPAR and
one test (sandbox for me). The VSAM file in question is open to a single CICS
region. Give that additional information, can I expect a negative impact on
response time going to the MOD-9's?

A couple of questions:
1. We just had 3390-9's configured into our EMC box. This box also contains
3390-3's. Given that the hardware is the same throughout and all other things
being equal, is there any decrease in response time on the mod-9's?
2. I have a VSAM file (with extended
IBM's Allocation Optimizer also does the trick. And you can tell it how to
handle NOTCAT2 errors.

Good Afternoon Listers,
I'm 1.9 with 1.11 up and running in my test environment. All user catalogs and
dasd are now shared between systems -- but I'm the only one on the 1.11
system. The master catalogs are different. Given that the volume catalog for
my tapes in the MTL's is in the master
Thanks to those who replied. I found my command string. In case anyone is
interested, mine looks like this:

cp rmfsrhelp.jar;jhall.jar -jar rmfsr.jar

Hello Listers,
Does anyone know the string of options that should be passed when opening
the Reporter with the following command:
C:\Program Files\RMF\RMF Spreadsheet Reporter\Ibmjava\jre\bin\javaws.exe

Hi Everyone,
I use Internet Service Retrieval on a weekly basis to get my HOLDDATA:

ORDER(ORDERSERVER(ORDSRVR)

the device type (X'78048083') and
simply allocated the correct device. I understand I can use esoterics to
control the allocation of the output device -- but I'm concerned with how the
system handles allocation of the INPUT device.

Environment: Testing z/OS 1.9
I use FDR to copy my HFS file systems when doing maintenance. I was able to
successfully copy them (JV390, JAVA64V5 and JAVA64V6) to a larger size, but
now that I see I've over allocated then, I want to copy again to a smaller
size. They are currently 25,000
Thanks everyone.

As part of my z/OS 1.9 upgrade, I created 2 SSA's -- ZOSMST and ZOSUSR. I
am now trying to drop that high level qualifier for all the DDNAMES in my
SMP/E zone using ZONEEDIT as follows:
ZONEEDIT DDDEF /* EDIT DDDEF ENTRIES */ .
I tried a combination of the 2 suggestions I received so far. I removed the
conditional IF logic, and I enclosed the HLQ in quotes ('ZOSMST.'). The
syntax error is now at the first quote mark.
In my DDDEF's for my z/OS 1.9 SMP/E system, I have (among others):
ZOSMST.SYS1.LINKLIB

Are you using the ServPac jobs that removes the SSA from the actual DSNs
