Rob,
If the OSA Express is Gigabit no need OAT, is dynamic but you need to define in
VTAMLST TRL entry.
But if working in SYS1, the problem is, SYS2 and SYS3 also need to use the same
device address. All three system use 800-803

Not sure about the z/9x0's, but for the z/890, you have to set up
an OAT table for the shared port/CHPID. Each OAT table entry
will have the IP address for each LPAR that will use the port/CHPID.
I currently have six LPARs sharing a single OSA port/CHPID. As
you can see from the table below, all
OSD. and thank you.

Is your OSA defined as OSD (QDIO) or OSE (non-QDIO)? I believe it is
QDIO, you have to share the devices between the LPAR's.

Greetings.
Environment: Z/os 1.4 Processor: Z/900 : 3 LPARS
We want to use our OSA Express card to IP connect to a STK LMU to replace our
current 3174 connections.
A CHPID was configured shared between 3 lpars (SYS1, SYS2, SYS3)
The Devices were defined four to a partition. Not shared :
