There is no IBM SMF record that tracks member-level access to PDS/PDSEs, other than the type 42 subtype 21. There is a MEMBER name field in the SMF 14/15, but that is only populated when the JCL specified the PDS member name (i.e, the access is BSAM, not BPAM). I'm aware of two products: PDSMAN t

John, PDSMAN cuts SMF audit records for all types of updates to PDS(E) members (except update-in-place). You control the data sets and members the records are written for as well as the type of update (add, delete or replace). You can also specify the SMF record number to be used. The format of th
