You can search all pdf documents in a directory;
open any pdf document and then use CTRL-SHIFT-F
to open the SEARCH WINDOW that lets you select
the directory and search all pdf's in that directory.

I happen to like bookmanager on the mainframe - but many of our M/F products
are dropping M/F bookmanager as a documentation platform - is there an easy (or
not-so-easy) way to convert PDF or HTML documents to a MF Bookmanager format?
