Hi Jonathan
I have no experience with DFSMShsm, but we are using ADRDSSU to backup our
ZFS files, and during the backup there is a quiesce.
Our long running USS processes are complaining as they have no access
during this quiesce period.
So seems to me not the DFSMShsm but the data mover
makes
If I do the HBACKDS it works and that is through HSM.
So the autobackup should also work in theory.

Lizette,
I do not have the zfs files in a SG with GBF.
I may have to do that to get this to work or just setup
a DFDSS batch job and let it back them up.
thanks for all the responses, I'll pursue what Lizette recommended and see
if that helps.

If I read it correctly DFSMShsm should backup the ZFS files by doing a

Our files do not have a backup at all. Is this because they are mounted
and
AUTOBACKUP can't get the quiesce possibly.
I am doing some more digging on my end to see what's up.

Hi Lizette.
I think a coworker found the problem.
The Management Class was set to AUTOBACKUP(NO)
I changed these files to a new MC with AUTOBACKUP(YES) and set the
parameters to run first thing in the morning since
I am leaving for the day soon. I'll check it in the morning.
