I tried it too. And DFSMS works perfectly with it (as we don't have RMS,
I
only tested DFSMS' SFS space management functions).
It just means DFSMS doesn't use tricks, because, we run with nicknames fo

You will probably need a VSE Stand Alone Dump or at least the Virtual Machine
low core and regs..

Tom,
I don't know that this will help much after the fact but you could start here

Hello Tom,
I believe that the 1122 is the HCP1122E
The format of the disabled wait state PSW is shown below:
where:
000A - a disabled wait state
is the disabled wait state code. This disabled wait state code is
a CPmessage number except
Thanks
That is what I was looking for, but right now it is meaningless...
HCP1122E .something about a give command for a tape drive.
My first reaction is we don't do gives.
But, I now know that DYNVM does.
When DYNVM attaches a tape drive to VSE in response to a DYNAM/VSE
mount request,
I believe that the 1122 is the HCP1122E
No no.
HCPGIR450W CP ENTERED; DISABLED WAIT PSW 000A 1122
Is just friendlyness of CP. It tells your VSE loaded a PSW to sleep
forever. A not-so-nice CP wouldn't tell you anything ans leave things as
they were, you'd be woken up by end-users
It used to be that DSF was DSF was DSF... I found out that is no more
trying to recover a volume from MVS and couldn't...Apparently now
only the stand-alone and CMS (not VM!) versions support CPVOL anymore...
Sigh...
