I just installed DFSMS/VM. During the study of the planning guide I saw that
all ML2 TSM Versions are withdrawn from market and there is no service
available. What would be the appropriate TSM software that is supported?
Unfortunately there is no longer a supported TSM server for z/VM.

Dear Les,
OK! Does that mean there is no official ML2 support for DFSMS/VM or are
there alternative tools?

Florian

I'm wanting to know if there are any other web servers, commercial or

I know of the following products:

Since the TSM/VM version was the only one which ever supported IUCV, is
there any chance of bundling it with the DFSMS code?

That is correct, there is no supported product that would satisfy
the DFSMS/VM ML2 requirement.

I think this is the httpd server on the VM download page (or it used to
be there). Anyway, I have Webshare.
I don't think it handles SSI's very well or at all. (I'm not being
critical, just an observation - sure wish it would, though.)
Thanks.

Another limitation is that WEBSHARE does not support SSL, just plain HTTP. The RSK-based
one from IBM doesn't either.
I seem to recall another commercial web server for CMS, WEB390, that was (is?) offered by
Information Builders. It supported SSL and had a number of other nice features as

The WEBSHARE server itself does not need to support SSL if you have the
SSLSERV for the TCPIP stack. I use SSLSERV to provide SSL support for ESA

so that I do not have to maintain two different SSL certificates.
It has been a while since I used WEBSHARE but it did have some

Yeah, but it'd be trivial to wrap it in SSLSERV. It's a well-behaved
protocol, not like FTP.

Tom, thanks for the reply. If you have a working example as to what the
html tag is supposed to look like for an ssi in WEBSHARE, I'd sure like
to see it. I've tried many combinations/formats and couldn't get it to
work.
The version I have is 1.2.4
I've looked at the code. It's not something I'd
I will have to dig around my archives to see if I have anything left from

I have found that Server-Side Processing was an add-on to WebShare from
John Kinne. I have can make a VMARC of all of the files that I have for
this add-on and supply it to anyone who wants it. That seems to be within
the scope of the copyright.

Can someone tell me what CA means by upload the UPLOAD.EXEC file to
your z/VM userid specifying text translation.?
It doesn't appear they mean ASCII (by way of FTP), because that doesn't
work with the next step of:
