with all that it offers, then you should be looking in the manuals for the
z/VM-distributed CMS Pipelines (the z/VM online HELP system is your
friend, too! Enter: HELP PIPE).

It's one message as long as you only issue one: CP MSG userid ...text...
What you're seeing on the screen may be based partly on the user's: CP
TERMINAL LINESIZE
or whatever means you are using to see their console session.

If you've got the right privilege class (by default CP class B), there is
the MSGNOH command (Message without header). In the sample, the user would
see

Note too that if you'd intercept the message with WAKEUP, PIPE
MSGNOH, that is what I wanted. Just with my limited knowledge of VM I couldn't
remember.
