The 2nd level VM is a 5.3 system, which uses a VSWITCH. Someone

We did a ENABLE ALL on the 2nd level and it did not help. We have

Are there any guidelines for assigning virtual machine size to a 2nd

Please dont expect help from CA. Your versions of CA90, CA-11, VIEW,
DELIVER, OPSMVS II and GSS are unsupported. Both VIEW and DELIVER
were dropped from support at the end of Feb 07. OPSMVS II version
4.4 has been out of support for some time.

No, I wasn't aware of a list for ISPF/PDF. Can you please
send me the particulars? Thanks.

Who knows. The list is not very active. I am sure there are a few
vm sites on the list.

The devices should be added to the Offline_at_IPL statement in the

Steve,
Your email is very interesting. Here, there are two issues that are
determining the future of mainframe and client/server Open systems
environment (ie UNIX).
The first issue is the philosophical issue that it can be done
cheaper on client/server. Management refuses to look at the
of servers. As Steve pointed out, they likely dont even know
the tco of servers. But that is not important. The mainframe is too
expensive in their mind. The mainframe is too passe.
