Folks,
There will be a Linux on Z and z/VM track at Ohio Linuxfest on September 10-12,
2010 in Columbus, Ohio. The track will include FREE intros to z/VM and Linux on
Z, open source tools for z/VM and Linux on Z, and many other large-system
related topics. Many of the fine people on this list

Yes, thanks to the hard work of Jim Vincent, there is a 64 bit version
of TRACK available here:
http://vm.marist.edu/track/
It supports z/VM 5.4, running on 64 bit processors.
Have a good one.

Hi list.
Does anybody know wether or not is it any TRACK and/or TRACKXA VMARC version
for VM 64 bit processors currently released ?

Hello - just a quick note to let interested parties know that there is a
small fix for TRACK (supplied by Steve Powell) to correct the register
labels when switching between 32 and 64 bit VMD displays. There are no new
code/functional changes.
You can download the full package with the update
I have finally made TRACK for z/VM 5.4 available up on the
http://vm.marist.edu/track/ web site on the download page. Other than
fighting a persnickety issue with my HL Assembler package, the build
for z/VM 5.4 is clean.
If you use TRACK and still have z/VM 5.3, you may want to grab this
package
I'll second the motion. Track is great and Jim's efforts are very much
appreciated.
I emailed him a week or so ago with a question on a problem that I had
seen since going from z/VM 4.4 to z/VM 5.3 last summer. The sysprogs'
personal id's here have CP priv. classes EG.
Yes, but that doesn't give you a formatted display of the prefix page,
it just points to it.
Since the demise of Kprobe, I don't think that Track has had any serious
competition in this arena.

You bet, TRACK rules.
But for "next time", the command is: CP LOCATE symbol
E.g.
cp locate symbol hcppfx
HCPPFX = 00024000 Resident 002000 Bytes

I wanted to check the VM prefix page to see if something was enabled,

In looking around for a how-to, I found a reference to our old friend

Better yet, for z/VM 5.3 level code, get it from here:

I will have a working set of TRACK for z/VM 5.3 up on the web site today. I
still have a lot of updates to add for enhancements but those can wait a
bit.
TRACKZ64 will only partially work. If you try some functions in z/VM 5.3,
they will puke in pretty colors for you.

Being a big fan of track, but having only track52, where can I find
trackz64? I don't see it in the z/VM packages pages, and searching google
for trackz64 only finds someone looking for an older or recompiled
version

Jim,
I have TRACKZ64 running on my z/VM 5.3.0.system. It works just fine. I did a
straight download from the web site and uploaded to my z/VM system. I did not
do any assemblies for TRACK. I am using the TRACKZ64 MODULE as supplied but
just renamed TRACKZ64 to TRACK.
Hope this helps.

Has anyone gotten TRACK running on 5.3? I haven't tried to run it but I
took the TRACKV52 package from (don't remember--probably Marist) and
reassembled it this a.m. I have one assembly error in TRACKVMD. It's
complaining about VMDDEDCP not being defined. That symbol is defin
