Which vaccine do you use Robyn?
The boarding facility where Hunter lives decided to do their own this year.
They started by giving the Forst Dodge WNV to their own horses. Every horse
was really dopey and sick acting for a few days. They freaked out and
called the vet in to do the rest. Hunter

Yeah. And one thing I've just learned from the "other" list is how
nasty it is to put someone down in a mean way, calling their post
"stupid" and irrelevant/pointless/whatever the reference was. Let's
not do that. >:|

Can you give your own shots? I always give mine myself--it's not hard.
I give tetanus/encephalo together (I think), then wait 2 weeks, then
give flu, wait 2 weeks, then give WNV. That's it for the year. I don't
vax for flu in the fall.

And another thing...:)
I was just reading in Dr. Deb's conformation book where hind limbs
rarely match or are identical. She also goes on to say that when one
hind foot turns out slightly that is often an indication of the
'handedness' of a horse. AND can indicate the direction the horse
finds i

A good cutting here is about 100 bales per acre, so 50-60 is so-so. We once

I do have one of those corner water goodies in the trailer, but it just
barely puts a dent in the water needs for three horses for three days, and
endurance horses have to drink at what they call the "out check", a vet exam
that often takes place 12+ miles from the camp where the trailer is. They
ALL mules and donkeys have cowhocks ALL of them. So how come cow
hocks are a bad thing? They obviously arent bad in donkeys and
mules?!! must be something in the rest of the conformation that helps
prevent harm to the structure. maybe? it is something I wonder
about.

On RFDTV this week is a show called Brazillian Ag so you may not think
to watch it but it is a really extensive report on the Lusitano horses
in brazil. and fascinating! For one thing, no one says so but very

Gosh it makes you wonder what is SE and what isnt! Tivar just rubbed
about half his mane off since our campng trip. Reason? Who knows.
It seems to have only happened since the camping and since I braided
his mane for coolness. Did the braids aggravate and itch? Did he get
bug bites? Pine tar

also, just in case you havent noticed... things seem to start and
spread in fla with horses! I think because of the huge horse
industry/business/thoroughbred thing, horses shipping in and out daily

horses get ill with something
