> I haven't tried it; is your saddle slipping forward?
Hi Judy, yes it is on steep down hills that it slips forward. I had
posted earlier about contoured girths and got some great advise.
Then I cam across this pad claiming it stopped saddles from slipping
forward and wondered if it really did
Has anyone used the WINTEC comfort pad to stop a saddle slipping
forward?

Hi Everyone
WOW thank you for all the advice, I tried what Kaaren suggested about
doing the girth up two holes more on either the back or front.
What I did notice is when the girth was done up two holes at the back
it made the front of the saddle come UP! Which led to it slipping
forward more!
Has any tried the torsion contoured griths? On the website it says they
can help prevent a saddle slipping forward if the girth has been
pulling it forward.
I am having the trouble with my Sensation and the sensation girth. If
the saddle is placed in the correct postition the billets are much

I have decided to offer my mare Emmy for sale. I feel our trails are

I am going to take her to the vet to get her teeth done. Here in
Canada it is not legal to practice equine dentistry unless you are a
Vet. The only problem is I have to take her off island to a good vet,
we have one here on Island but he is only good if the horse has a
laceration etc..not for d
Hi Everyone
I have a few questions..:). I bought my mare Emmy two months ago and
have had an interesting time with her.
The lady said she would try maybe bucking when I first start taking
her out as she likes to test new people. She did the first time I
took her out on a trail ride she gave a

I love my Sensation and so does Emmy (the horse)! When I went to try
Emmy the previous owner said she had used an Icelandic saddle but had
just sold it so she was now using a western saddle. So I brought my
Sensation to try her in. Well I rode her for about 45 minutes or more.

Hi Everyone
Well after some thought I decided to clip Emmy, I may buy the coat king
for next year though! But I have many worth of clippers now and it
was hot again so I thought what the heck! I only clipped her front end
and tummy, plus ( I hate to admit it and I am sure I will get strung
Thanks everyone for the replies!
Judy and Janice I think I might order that Mars Coat king comb. I
have done my fair share of clipping over the years after showing
goats, cattle and horses so it would be nice NOT to clip if I don't
have too! Although I don't want her to be too hot when we ride:
HI Everyone
I just brought my new Icelandic mare home last week ( she is on a two
week trial) and she is sheddingwill it EVER end? Today turned quite
warm and poor thing was sweating like crazy after 15 minutes out

Just a note you can buy perforated PVC white pipe, (drain pipe) it has
many holes already in it!!
Hello!
I am new to this group and I am looking at getting an Icelandic horse.
I was wondering if anyone had done some driving and or pulled logs with
their Icelandic horse?
I would like to be able to do some chores with my new horses, such as
pulling small logs up to be cut, maybe moving some
