i think u must check for Ubuntu community forum.. u will need to upgrade
from Ubuntu servers..

Sorry. you can't do it from the live CD as it
You can upgrade your ubuntu release from the Alternate-CD. But your
hardy install needs to have all updates till date installed before you
pop-in the jaunty alternate CD.

Just go to Systems-Administration-software sources-Ubuntu software and
change the mirror from a list at download from. It will take 4 hours with
512 kbps internet speed for an upgrade. This is safe and you will be able to
keep your old settings intact.
