thnx dhananjay.. da i am planning to separate some packages n just give it as a zip file.. zip file will be about 60mb.. it will also be included in addon cd.. the user can install it giving "sudo dpkg -i – force-depends *.deb".. the reasons for all that is given above.. all the rest is in apton cd

srihari.. the addon cd would also work like u said. but it doesn't use any scripts.. it is made as a ubuntu repository cd.. when u insert the cd, it will automatically get added to repositories and will open the add or remove programs. from there u can install the software u want.. BTW, the script

keryx doesn't give the user choice to select applications but apton cd does.. that's what i meant by forcing him.. but please check the apps installed by keryx before commenting.. we r installing vlc player which is able to convert mp3 to ogg.. Why am i insisting on keryx? 1. Consider that a user
