X compilation has always been a problem.
Xorg made is simpler but even then it is no easy job.
It is modular but it still is quite dependent on many many many things.
Do you use some exotic hardware or something?

got the solution
what I did is here..
First created a different user and was able to log in from there.
then
system>administrator>users and groups.
from there changed the to for the previous user.
and reboot.
tried with the previous user. all done :) :) worked perfectly :) :)
