Can somebody please suggest good Filtering tool to be used with Squid.
I need to block access to Porn material ( sites and downloads ).
Checked DansGuard site , but the license says its not free for
commercial use. I am not sure about performance of Squidguard can
somebody comment on this. Or

Go for primus ie hotwire .It is available for just above 1000 for 24 hrs and
i find speed also very impressive.

is to visit a few cyber cafe's in ur area check the speed and take the
telephone/address details from them. One thing u must ask is about the
network performance and uptime. B'coz many problems are due to physical

recently i have install fedora which came with LFY, i install successfully chooseing
desktop setting. but after that when i want to add more software from cd it gives

I have implemented squid guard in my company's network and got
satisfactory results. It provides web filtering as well as access
restrictions based on time and user account .
however it does not so fast as Dansguardian . but you can increase speed
by reducing filter database

if somebody can find a good forum and have expereince
