It depends on the filesystem. In ext2 (and ext3) it's possile to retrieve deleted file if it was small (up to 10 inodes). If it was bigger, retrieving the rest is virtually impossible. Of course you should unmount your filesystem as soon as possible after deleting, otherwise undeleting is

Try to use .forward file in your home directory and put your reciver address in this file. When delivering email to a user, sendmail checks to see if the user has a .forward file in his home directory. If the file is present, the contents are read and treated as an alias for that person's email.
