for a few months. I upgraded from thunderbird in Mandrake 10.1 CE. For
the past few days -thunderbird has been unable to download mails from
gmail. Further it does a lot of repeat downloads which clogs up both

I installed macromedia flash player at
/usr/lib/mozilla-firefox
so when I run a site that flash content it only appears on 1/4 th the screen.

Depends on what type of scanner you are asking for.
Slide / Film scanner or document scanner
for Documents - a4 / lgl size Canon lide scanner works well
for slides and film Nikon CoolScan ED series wroks well

The Laptop seems to know that there is at /dev/ttySO but I have no

I was running mdk 10.1 and because of some hardware problem had to
reinstall it. I backed up all my data including all the hidden
folders. The most important stuff I wanted was my email client data.
Was using mozilla messenger 1.7.something for mdk (mandrake).

About the fonts :
There are a lot of hindi fonts floating around - some of them will
work and show the proper words when installed - other will continue to
show gibberish - try and get the original font used and follow the
instructions given by vivek.
