boot from the 1st CD of linux installer. and type linux rescue at
the prompt.
The existing linux OS on the HDD will be searched and mounted under
/mnt/sysimage
type chroot /mnt/sysimage at the prompt and then type grub-install
/dev/hda .. and reboot the box. the grub boot loader
