I transferred two 512 memory sticks from one working G3 to another
working G3 and nothing happened. Does it take the second machine a certain
amount of time to recognize the new memory or is there a certain procedure
for introducing new memory to a G3? Thanks to whoever can answer this for
me.

does... except download and upload stuff from one place to another.

I have a G4 800mhz imac. I want to run OS 9 on it for a variety of
reasons. Classic is ok but I would like to native boot.
The problem is I don't have a OS9 restore CD. I have a 9.2.2 install

I've never heard of that... I'm not sure...
But 10.4 should run OK on 350Mhz. A little jittery, but usable. I've
run it on a 333MHz Lombard with 512Mb RAM; It runs decently. I guess
it all depends on how patient you are...
