score to get a number to use to compare various models. Once you've
determined the minimum configuration you need, that might help narrow

I would like to buy the fastest 24-inch iMac made with a matte
display. My understanding is that this is the late-2006 White iMac
with the optional upgrades to a 2.33 GHz T7600 Core 2 Duo and a
GeForce 7600-GT video card. I don't think any of the AL or later iMacs
had matte displays as an option. I

I just last month (Jan 2010) "upgraded" my 1.8 GHz PPC G5 iMac from
Tiger to Leopard, including the software updates, and I have had more
freezes (nothing working but the mouse pointer) that required a
restart, in 2 month

Final Vinyl is a free download from GriffinTechnology.com. It works
well aside from a tendency to quit unexpectedly, so save the entire
raw file as soon as it displays, and save individual tracks as soon as
you mark one, and don't do much multitasking while using it.
