Hi,
Have any of you had problems running IMail 6 with Lyris 4?
Are there any gotchas to watch out for?

Julian,
We're hosting this combination for our customers. So far, it works (on
separate machines). Lyris has it's own SMTP process and is NOT using IMail
for relay in our config.

Thanks for the responses. I have set this as Relay for anyone and am still NOT

into it now.

If you can't connect via telnet then I would check with your ISP to
see if they are indeed filtering outbound SMTP at their border routers.
This will only verify the cause of your problem.
In any case you can and probably should use this ISPs SMTP servers for
outbound relay anyway ... why add

Hi,
We have Imail 6 installed, with many domains on virtual IP's, and one main
domain binded to the real IP of the machine.
When we send an email to a user that DOES NOT exist in a virtual domain,

This is typical response when one does not assign a unique 'Top Directory'

Oh, so your problem is an ASP problem, NOT an SMTP problem.
I believe ASPFree differs in how it sends the email. CDONTS will use

I am trying to setup iMail as a mail server for a website that we are

The solution is a to find an ISP that offers full Internet access.
If GTE blocks port 25 (which isn't a bad thing, by the way), but can't override it for
you, they don't offer full Internet access.

Thanks. I know the brackets aren't required. In fact, that's the
point... I don't want them. The problem I'm having is that Imail is
inserting the brackets on all email addresses that are added into one of our
lists.
I can't figure out why it's putting the brackets in OR how to delete
them.
