Hi,
I updated my installation to snv_105 from pkg.opensolaris.org/dev.
Booting xvm kernel doesn't work. The last working xvm version that I
tested was on snv_98. I filed a bug report earlier on
http://defect.opensolaris.org/bz/show_bug.cgi?id=5905
Is anyone using xmv on opensolaris 2008.11 (stabl
I have an SB Live Audigy 2 board.
I tried the OSS drivers, and they think they're working (osstest audio shows up
on the proper channel meters in the mixer), but all I got out of the speakers
was a constant low buzz.
I uninstalled the OSS drivers and tried the the audio driver provided by Jürge
Alfred,
thanks. I just gave it a short try but saw too much hassle with the
patch checker possible missing libs etc. So maybe you saw my preview
email. I switched back to 2.0.0.17.

Thanks Brian,
ok, understand that. I fixed for my installation (because I wanted to
use b105 - e.g. for crossbow).
I created a tar of the b101-bootenvironment /usr/lib/thunderbird and
moved that over to the b105 be. That works now. I will wait until
2.0.0.19 is available as ips package later on
i too am having the same problem.
my kernel usage spikes after start up and the HD is very active. Could this be
a lack of RAM issue?
I usually notice the problem once I start up Net Beans 6.5.
I run 2008.11 snv_101b on hp nc6000 with only 512M ram. I will be upgrading
the RAM to the 2Gb max

Detlef/Brian,
Another alternative is to go with the contributed builds:
http://releases.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/thunderbird/releases/2.0.0.19/contrib/.
The Solaris 10 builds work on OpenSolaris box with some tweak to disable
patch checker.
Cheers,
