I do not success getting my cvs working on several RedHat 7.1 machines.
I have installed a CVS server on a RedHat 6.1 and it works properly.

I've installed CVS as part of the normal RH7.1 install several times. No
problems, ever. I've also installed CVS as an afterthough. No problems,
again.

I have a Suse 7 server with the CVS 1.11 installed and RedHat 7.0 as
clients, without problems. BUT Red Hat 7.1 clients are returning this
message for any CVS operation:
poll: protocol failure in circuit setup
end of file from server...
Any idea of a cause for this error?

Hello, I am new to this, and really stuck. I have been asked to set up a CVS server on Linux Redhat 7.1 server. I have been following the instructions form http://www.devguy.com/fp/cfgmgmt/cvs/cvs_admin_linux.htm which basically instruct me to do the following.
1) Get CVS
2) Gunzip cvs
