The thing is that VSS is used here by some people, as is CVS on Unix(!). The people here use VSS as a simple control to manage the file access by multiple developers. So there is no experience with branching and merging. According to the VSS manual branching and merging are possible. I am talkin

Hi, since I don't have Tcl I do not have Macros in winCVS. When using cvs from the command line I get the same error, too. IMHO it has nothing to do with winCVS. About bug fixing. My employer will not be very happy, especcially when with MS-VSS there is an easy (tempting??) alternative.

I am using wincvs with local directory and I am using the cvs2ntslib.dll. In order to exlude any winCVS quirk I also entered the command from the command line, with the same result.
