I just ran a little test with testsaslauthd (from the SASL
distribution).
I ran this command:
testsaslauthd -u [EMAIL PROTECTED] -p secret
And got:
0: OK Success.
This is what it sent to our LDAP server:
conn=26 op=4 BIND dn=CN=CYRUS,OU=SERVERS,DC=OUR-FQDN,DC=TLD method=128
conn=26 op=4

off LDAP.
My list posts seem to be going missing
I've tried to send 3 or more messages to the list and I'm not getting them back.. So far only one has gotten sent on the list. What's up with this?

I'm always in favour of less hard coded behaviour and more configuration options (with sane defaults). :)

The current version of sasl lib splits a 'fully qualified username' to
userid and realm. I believe this is a wrong behavior because '@' is a
valid userid character and the domain part is really not a realm
